Quality: Completeness, consistency, freshness, and accuracy. We score each dataset against the minimum quality threshold required for your use case and quantify the remediation effort to reach that threshold.
Labelling: Supervised models require labelled training data — fraud/not-fraud, approved/rejected, disease/no-disease. We assess existing labelling coverage and estimate the labelling investment required to reach training-ready status.
Lineage: Can you trace where the data came from and how it was transformed? Lineage matters for model debugging, regulatory compliance (CBUAE AI guidelines, DHA digital health), and reproducibility.
Infrastructure Readiness
We review your current compute environment, data pipeline architecture, and ML tooling stack. Key questions: Can you run GPU training workloads? Do you have a feature store or will one be needed? Is your data pipeline event-driven or batch? These answers determine your MLOps architecture before a single line of model code is written.
Use Case Prioritisation
We score every candidate use case against a four-dimension matrix:
- Business value: Revenue impact, cost reduction, or risk mitigation in AED
- Data readiness: Quality and volume of available training data
- Technical feasibility: Complexity of the ML task and availability of proven approaches
- Time-to-value: Weeks from data access to production deployment

Do I need a readiness assessment before building an AI model?
Not always, but it significantly reduces risk. The most common reason AI projects fail in UAE enterprises is poor data quality discovered mid-build — after significant investment. A readiness assessment surfaces data gaps, infrastructure requirements, and feasibility constraints before you commit to a build. For first-time AI projects, we strongly recommend it. For organisations with existing ML capability assessing a new use case, a lighter scoping engagement may suffice.
What if my data quality is poor — does that end the engagement?
No. Poor data quality is the most common finding and the most actionable. The assessment identifies exactly what is wrong, what it would take to fix it (labelling effort, data enrichment, retention policy changes), and whether the use case is viable on the current data or needs a data improvement programme first. In many cases, a lower-priority use case with cleaner data turns out to be the better starting point.
How is this different from a generic IT audit?
